Dermaplaning Micropeel
What is Dermaplaning?
Dermaplaning, or blading, is an exfoliating treatment that provides an alternative to chemical peels or microdermabrasion and is a good choice for anyone who has fine facial hair (peach fuzz), extremely sensitive skin, redness or rosacea, Acne or visible facial veins. The dermaplaning treatment is done by an experienced aesthetician who uses a blade to gently exfoliate the outer layer of dead skin cells and remove fine facial hair commonly known as "peach fuzz". A noticeable improvement is immediate with smoother texture and fresh skin appearance. Hair returns softly and will not become coarser because of the treatment. Even products penetrate the skin better following this treatment.

We longed for a peel treatment that is highly effective but does not limit a patient's lifestyle with unsightly peeling or downtime. With this treatment we can tailor it to essentially any type of skin (sensitive, acneic, sun damaged and even very dark skin). This treatment is even safe enough to perform a modified procedure on a pregnant patient!!!!
The myth is that peeling and downtime is positively correlated to results. This is not the case, with this particular procedure, simply because of the steps taken during the procedure to dramatically exfoliate the skin just prior to and immediately post chemical peel application.
If you are currently a patient, at our spa, you know that we don't just endorse a treatment without having complete confidence that it is going to provide dramatic changes & rejuvenation. This new treatment will definitely rival our IPL results (which is superior in the industry). For those patients who adhere to the protocol, it will result in distinct advantages over IPL (such as immediate textural changes, no downtime, removal of "peach fuzz", and significantly improve response to skincare products).
